Position Summary
*This posting will be used to fill two vacancies at two separate locations*
We are currently seeking two (2) Assistant Managers to support the daily operations of our Country Hills and Marda Loop shops. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong experience in restaurant or fast-casual operations, team leadership, and guest service. This role requires someone who can step in with confidence from day one, help drive operational excellence, maintain high standards for food quality and hospitality, and lead the team with energy, accountability, and initiative.
The Assistant Manager will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day service, supporting staff development, improving operational efficiency, and creating an outstanding guest experience that reflects the Brooklyn Dumpling Shop brand.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations to ensure exceptional food quality, cleanliness, hospitality, and service standards are consistently maintained.
- Anticipate and resolve operational or guest service issues before they impact the flow of service or the overall guest experience.
- Communicate effectively with the General Manager and team members to support smooth day-to-day operations.
- Assist with staff scheduling, onboarding, training, shift leadership, and workflow coordination to maintain efficient restaurant performance.
- Monitor operational performance, labor, food quality, and guest satisfaction while supporting ongoing improvements in efficiency and team execution.
Qualifications
- Previous management or supervisory experience in a fast food or restaurant environment is considered a strong asset.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- Current Food Safe certification is required or must be obtained prior to employment.
- Flexible working hours based on shop needs with the ability to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts as required.
- Must have a valid driver's license and/or a reliable form of transportation
