Overview
We are seeking a reliable Part Time Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves safely transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, experience with commercial driving, and familiarity with heavy equipment operation. This position offers flexible hours suitable for individuals looking to supplement their income or gain experience in logistics and transportation.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks when necessary
- Deliver freight to designated locations efficiently and on schedule
- Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs and report any issues promptly
- Assist with the loading and unloading of heavy or bulky freight, utilizing heavy equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, freight handling, or related fields preferred
- Knowledge of forklift operation, heavy equipment operation, or automotive repair is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
This position is ideal for individuals seeking part-time work with flexible hours while developing skills in transportation logistics. Prior experience with heavy equipment or automotive repair is advantageous but not required.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
