Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and supporting overall restaurant operations to deliver a memorable dining experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering processes, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with sanitation standards
- Respond to guest inquiries promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to serve multiple tables effectively
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of POS systems
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Basic food handling and serving experience preferred; kitchen experience is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends or evenings if required
