Iqra Islamic School is a faith-based K-10 educational institution. While our school upholds Islamic values, this teacher position is focused exclusively on teaching the Manitoba curriculum in various subjects and does not involve teaching religious content.
Position Overview:
We’re excited to offer a permanent, full-time teaching position for a dedicated and caring Homeroom Teacher to join our K-10 school community. Qualifications:
- Permanent Manitoba Teacher Certification is required;
- Bachelor of Education Degree is required.
- Employment subject to clear Criminal Record (with vulnerable sector search) and Child Abuse Registry checks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that promotes student learning and well-being.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and materials.
- Participate in school events, including the Science and Islamic Studies excursion to Alberta.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school administration to support student learning and development.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
