Respond immediately to mechanical breakdowns and equipment failures.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
Fabricate replacement parts or coordinate the ordering of required components.
Verify proper equipment operation and performance following repairs.
Review operator-reported equipment issues and respond in a timely manner.
Prioritize maintenance activities based on production requirements and equipment criticality.
Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
Inspect machinery and recommend modifications to improve reliability, efficiency, and production output.
Support equipment improvement projects by evaluating ideas from the production floor and assisting with implementation.
Repair and maintain gearboxes, conveyors, drive systems, air compressors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
Perform machining, welding, and fabrication work as required.
Complete equipment overhauls and rebuilds according to manufacturer specifications.
Read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings and schematics.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) License.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, power transmission equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
Ability to operate precision machine shop equipment.
Working knowledge of GMAW (MIG) welding and metal fabrication.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and drawings.
Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is considered an asset.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
