We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide holistic patient care, utilizing manual therapy techniques to improve musculoskeletal health. The Osteopath will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive treatment plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes across diverse populations, including pediatrics and acute care settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including case history and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using osteopathic techniques.
- Manage patient records accurately using case management systems and Word processing tools.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining diagnoses and treatment options in clear terms.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment adhering to health regulations.
- Stay current with medical advancements related to osteopathy, pediatrics, and acute care.
- Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word for scheduling, documentation, and data analysis purposes.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge relevant to musculoskeletal assessments and treatments.
Experience
- Proven experience in patient care within hospital or clinical settings preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, nursing practices, and case management systems.
- Multilingual abilities or bilingual skills (e.g., French) are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations.
- Experience working with pediatric patients or in acute care environments is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Word processing tools essential for documentation and administrative tasks.
- Prior experience in hospital environments or with specialized fields such as pediatrics is a plus.
