Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our restaurant or hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food and beverage service, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Prior experience in restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel settings is highly valued. The Food and Beverage Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily food and beverage operations to ensure high-quality service standards are met
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain consistency and quality
- Manage POS systems including Micros POS for order processing and cash handling procedures
- Lead, train, and evaluate team members; participate in interviewing and onboarding new staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Assist with breakfast and banquet operations, including food prep and ensuring adherence to health standards
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area and kitchen
- Support breakfast and banquet management in implementing policies, promotions, and service initiatives
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant management, or hospitality roles with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling experience preferred
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to oversee food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations
- Experience in interviewing, training, and developing staff members
- Knowledge of restaurant operations including kitchen workflows and hospitality best practices
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Previous hotel or barista experience is considered a plus for this role
