Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Student Dietary Aide to join our team in providing nutritious and well-prepared meals for residents in a healthcare setting. This role offers an excellent opportunity for students interested in the food service industry, healthcare, or hospitality to gain valuable experience in a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn about food preparation, food serving, safety, and sanitation practices within assisted living or nursing home facilities. This position is paid and designed to accommodate student schedules, primarily during daytime hours.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and dietary guidelines
- Serve meals to residents with professionalism and excellent customer service skills
- Ensure proper food handling and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, including cleaning utensils, equipment, and surfaces
- Support with food storage, inventory management, and organization of supplies
- Follow all health department regulations and facility policies related to food safety and sanitation
- Assist with meal delivery within the facility as needed
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely meal service during scheduled hours
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Experience in food handling, sanitation, or kitchen operations is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude towards residents and staff
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $14.05-$17.60 per hour
