Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Worker to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children and a background in early childhood education or caregiving. Knowledge of Waldorf pedagogy for young children is essential, and/or a willingness to pursue further understanding. RECE certification, or current registration in a program toward this certification is an asset. Duties
- Supervise and monitor children during activities, playtime, and mealtime to ensure safety at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and nap times in accordance with established guidelines
- Support children with special needs or disabilities, adapting activities as necessary to meet individual requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, ensuring all toys and materials are safe and sanitized
- Communicate regularly with supervisor and fellow caregivers regarding children's progress, behaviors, and any concerns
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages learning and growth
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children (ages 18 months - 6 years) is preferred
- Background in early childhood education is advantageous. Waldorf Educator certification is ideal, or knowledge of Waldorf pedagogy and a willingness to pursue further Waldorf education or training
- RECE or current registration in training to attain creditation is a necessity
- Demonstrated caregiving skills with a strong understanding of child development principles
- Ability to engage children and effective communication skills based on Waldorf education methods

Pay: $44,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
