We are hiring for a company in the i
ndustrial manufacturing industry with an immediate opening for a
DZ Driver/Forklift Operator in Mississauga, ON
Start Date: Immediately
Shift: Full-Time (9-11 hours per day)
Location: Mississauga, ON
Rate: $25/hr
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklift safely to load and unload trucks
- Handle materials and transport them to saw and machinery shops
- Pack and prepare orders for shipment
- Assist with general labour duties as required
- Organize yard inventor and stage materials for saw operations
- Maintain cleanliness of the yard and buildings
- Support saw operations, fitters, and welders by delivering materials
- Complete daily forklift inspections and logs
- Maintain daily driver logbook and perform vehicle inspections
- Assist supervisors with additional duties as required
Requirements:
- Valid forklift license
- Valid DZ license
- Experience operating a forklift in a industrial or yard environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to read and understand both metric and imperial units of measurement
- Strong attention to detail and safety procedures
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently as well as par of a team
- Willingness to assist with general yard duties as required
