As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Registered Occupational Therapist to join our team.
About the Role
This position is ideal for an Occupational Therapist who enjoys the clinical reasoning involved in assessments and mentoring Occupational Therapy Assistants while maintaining flexibility in their schedule.
The successful candidate will primarily:
- Conduct comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy assessments
- Develop individualized treatment recommendations and home programs
- Complete professional assessment reports within established timelines
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants in accordance with College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) standards
- Review and co-sign OTA documentation as required
- Collaborate with families and the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in case discussions and treatment planning
- Provide occasional consultations and parent education
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation using Jane EMR
- Support high-quality, evidence-informed, family-centred care

You will work with children presenting with a variety of needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- ADHD
- Sensory processing differences
- Fine and gross motor delays
- Self-care and daily living skills
- Handwriting and school readiness
- Emotional regulation
- Executive functioning
- Developmental coordination challenges
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
- Professional liability insurance
- Experience working in pediatrics (private practice experience is an asset)
- Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Excellent written communication and report-writing abilities
- Experience supervising or mentoring Occupational Therapy Assistants is preferred
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one)

Schedule
- Part-time independent contractor
- Weekday afternoon, evening, and/or Saturday availability preferred
