Mid Valley Construction (1997) Ltd. (General Contracting/Civil Construction) and Parsons Investments Ltd. (Property Development), conducting business throughout Nova Scotia, have an immediate opening for an Accounting Position. This full-time position is located in Kingston, NS.
The successful candidate needs to be accounting and or business administration graduate to provide support to the Management team.
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
· Bank Reconciliation/HST Remittances
· Disbursing and monitoring expense payments
· General accounting functions
· Experience in a job costing environment is considered an asset.
· Insurance administration – Construction/Property/Vehicle.
As the ideal candidate, you will have experience with the following:
· General accounting duties including successfully completed related education
· Maintain a positive and professional manner
· High attention to detail and take a proactive approach to your work
· Exhibit above average organizational skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· Proficiency with MS office products is required. Familiarity with Sage 300 software is an asset.
· Accredited accounting designation is an asset.
