Position Summary
The CNC Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing large-format CNC equipment across Anchor Danly operations in Windsor (ON), Cambridge (ON). This role is focused on maximizing equipment uptime, ensuring machining accuracy, and supporting internal production capacity for die set and fabrication manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair CNC equipment including Toshiba, FPT, Awea, and Mazak machines
- Support machining operations for large steel components including die sets, plates, and parallels across all plants (as required)
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol)
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime
- Perform machine alignment, leveling, and calibration
- Support installation, commissioning, and relocation of equipment within Anchor Danly facilities
- Work with operations and engineering to remove capacity constraints
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Maintain maintenance records and support continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and LOTO
Qualifications
- 5+ years CNC maintenance experience (large machines preferred)
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, and Mazatrol
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
- Experience with servo systems, spindles, PLCs
- Understanding of machining tolerances
- Ability to travel between Windsor and Cambridge as required
- Millwright or electromechanical certification preferred
Work Environment
This is an internal, multi-site support role in a heavy manufacturing environment. Travel between Anchor Danly facilities is required, and the primary work location will be based on the successful candidate’s home location.
