Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food service. The ideal candidate will assist with meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the food industry and develop foundational skills in food safety and kitchen operations.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly under the supervision of chefs or kitchen staff
- Support food handling and ensure proper storage of ingredients in accordance with food safety standards
- Help with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning
- Support serving staff during meal service as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area throughout shifts
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques are advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures is a plus
- Previous kitchen experience or exposure to the food industry will be beneficial for understanding workflow and hygiene standards
- Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation, food safety, and restaurant operations
