Here's what we need!
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting with event selling, implementation, and coordination of the service team through booking, planning, and executing functions, ranging from luncheons and dinner meetings to social gatherings, corporate events, award ceremonies, weddings, catering events, and more
- Maintaining records of all bookings e.g. venue and catering and processing payments where necessary
- Ad-hoc duties at events including, but not limited to, guest list management, menu design, and acting as a point of contact for managing and growing our guest portfolio
- Helping set up and dismantle events efficiently through to completion
- Attending internal Charcoal meetings to act as a second point of contact
- with both internal and external event functions, by leading the service team, coordinating event logistics, and ensuring food & beverage service meets company standards
- Supporting the events manager with logistical and administrative duties.
Essential requirements:
- Project management or administrative skills
- Strong attention to detail and an understanding of events
- Confident with Microsoft Office programs
- Past experience with TripleSeat a plus but not a requirement
Your experience and skills include:
- Proven event management experience in the hospitality sector, with a strong ability to coordinate service teams, collaborate with culinary teams and bring events to completion
- a solid understanding and experience in booking events and event planning
- strong communication and relationship-building skills
- superior quick thinking and problem-solving abilities
- ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous during event execution and planning process
- a genuine desire to contribute to memorable experiences through event planning and coordination, and to be an ambassador of the events department
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
