We are seeking a professional and organized Salon Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations of the front desk. This role requires strong administrative skills, proficiency with office software, and excellent communication abilities to support a welcoming and efficient salon environment.
Duties
- Greet clients warmly and manage client check-in/check-out processes
- Schedule appointments using salon management software and maintain accurate records
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, providing information or transferring calls as needed
- Handle incoming inquiries via phone, email, or in-person with excellent phone etiquette
- Manage data entry tasks, including updating client information and appointment schedules
- Maintain filing systems for client records, invoices, and other administrative documents
- Support bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Assist with general clerical tasks such as photocopying, proofreading documents, and organizing supplies
- Support customer support efforts by addressing client questions or concerns efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth front desk operation and positive client experience
Requirements
- Proven clerical or administrative experience, preferably in a customer service or medical/dental office setting
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace tools
- Experience with QuickBooks or bookkeeping software is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and proofreading
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and effective communication abilities
- Familiarity with front desk procedures, filing systems, and office equipment
- Prior experience in dental office or medical office environments is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and composure
