Blowers & Grafton (B&G) serves authentic street food, delivering natural, honest ingredients and laid-back East Coast hospitality. Shack up in our cozy-cool spaces to savor passionately crafted East Coast eats and cheers to the weekend, or soak in some live music and stay a while. B&G sources as much of its menu from out East as possible to bring you tasteful tributes, genuine flavors, and all the classics! From the OG Halifax Donair and Garlic Fingers to the Mini Lobster Rolls and Chips, it’s all washed down with your choice of craft beer or cocktails. A group of passionate Canadians founded B&G with a bold vision: to salute the spirited roots of Halifax with fellow Maritimers and share this beloved experience of food, drink, music and culture with the rest of Canada.
Shift Leader Roles & Responsibilities
· Maintain our fun, positive and respectful culture while keeping team members on task with their responsibilities
· Assist GM in Hiring + Training new bartenders, servers, and hosts
· Adhere to blowers & Grafton policies and procedures
· Manage floor. Pre-shift, cuts, dealing with discount/voids and customer complaints
· Ensure the bar is clean and checklists are being complete
· Complete assigned ordering every week
· Learn and memorize all of our food and beverage menu items
· Understand and adhere to all of the B&G policies and procedures
· Understand and embrace the B&G culture and values
· Learn closing duties such as running closing reports, cash handling, cashouts, and breaking down the bar
· Ensure takeout and delivery partner orders are correctly set, accepted, packaged, and completed
· Attend all manager meetings
· Weekly communication on updates, reminders, and other important messages to the team
· Pickup stock if we are low, and advise ordering Manager
· Have a passion for providing East Coast Hospitality!
