About Us:
At Quality Repair Services, we take pride in providing honest, high-quality heavy-truck maintenance. In doing so, we also provide maintenance services for our customers' medium-duty vehicles. We are a family-owned and operated garage with a tight-knit team, zero corporate red tape, and a busy shop where no two days look the same.
The Opportunity:
Are you a 2nd or 3rd-year 310T Apprentice who feels stuck in your current shop? Are you tired of just spinning filters and doing oil changes, or working in a corporate environment where nobody knows your name?
We are looking for a motivated apprentice who is ready to get their hands dirty with real, complex heavy-truck repairs. At Quality Repair Services, you won't just be sweeping floors, you will be working alongside experienced journeymen who are ready to mentor you, sign off on your competencies, and help you successfully earn your 310T ticket.
What’s In It For You:
- Competitive Pay: $24.00–$32.00/hour (Starting rate depends entirely on your current school completion level, hours, and hands-on skill).
- True Mentorship: Direct, hands-on learning from seasoned 310T professionals who actually want to see you succeed.
- Great Shop Vibe: A fast-paced, supportive, family-run atmosphere where you are a valued member of the team.
- Stable Hours: Steady day shifts, Monday to Friday (Keep your weekends for yourself!).
Responsibilities:
- Work under the direct guidance of licensed 310T Journeymen to diagnose, service, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
- Perform routine fleet maintenance services including safety inspections, brakes, suspension, steering, and fluid changes.
- Assist with complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics, engine work, and component replacements.
- Utilize welding equipment for structural or component repairs as needed.
- Maintain clean, detailed service records and ensure the shop environment stays safe and organized.
- Actively work toward completing your apprenticeship logbook requirements.
Requirements:
- Must be a registered 310T Apprentice (2nd or 3rd year preferred, with valid Skilled Trades Ontario registration).
- Strong mechanical aptitude, a solid work ethic, and a desire to learn the trade right.
- Basic proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment (must have your own basic tool set).
- Valid driver's license and a clean Driver’s Abstract.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and manual shop tasks.
- Experience with welding or the DriveON program is a great asset!
