Carbon Lock Tech is hiring a full-time, permanent Lead Facility Development Engineer to lead the development, construction, commissioning and startup of our first-of-a-kind organic waste-to-biochar demonstration facility in Saint Adolphe, Manitoba. We offer competitive compensation commensurate with experience, along with a health and dental plan.
This is a highly hands-on role for an experienced engineer who can turn a project plan into an operating facility. You will coordinate site development, permitting, utilities, procurement, contractors, equipment installation and commissioning; solve technical and operational challenges on site; establish safe and reliable operations; and generate the performance data needed to support future commercial deployments. Candidates must have a related engineering degree, eligibility for P.Eng. registration in Canada and at least five years of relevant industrial facility or process-system experience. Experience with FOAK projects, biomass, waste, energy, agriculture, industrial equipment or thermal processing would be an asset.
Carbon Lock Tech is an ambitious cleantech team developing patented pyrolytic reactor technologies that convert biomass and organic waste into stable biocarbon. We move quickly, take ownership and rely on practical people who can think independently and make things happen. There is no established blueprint for what we are building, so innovation, initiative and resourcefulness matter. If you are as comfortable with a wrench in your hand as you are with a mouse, this might be the position for you.
