Required Position
Part-time Appointment Accessibility Services Test Centre is hiring two (2) Lead Invigilators for twenty (20) hours per week.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, Counselling and Accessibility Services, the Lead Invigilator provides direct operational support to the Exam Coordinator, ensuring the smooth administration of accommodated examinations. This role involves coordination of the invigilator team,and aiding in exam preparation. The Lead Invigilator upholds the highest standards of academic integrity while fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for students with disabilities.
Serve as the primary point of reference and lead support contact for the team of invigilators, overseeing shift coordination and ensuring strict compliance with Testing Centre regulations.
Support the Exam Coordinator in all exam preparation tasks, including managing staff availability, creating invigilator schedules, and preparing essential exam materials (e.g., shift reports, procedure manuals).
Provide technical troubleshooting and maintain a barrier-free testing environment, escalating complex issues immediately and ensuring the proper setup of specialized software and security procedures.
Monitor and guide the team in securely managing confidential examination materials and precisely implementing a full range of approved student accommodations.
Assume responsibility for overseeing Testing Centre operations in the absence of the Exam Coordinator, including Upholding the integrity of all evaluations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree or college diploma would be considered a strong asset.
At least one (1) year of experience in customer service and or office administration is required.
Proven organizational, time management, and scheduling skills.
Basic computer literacy, including email and navigation of online platforms (e.g., Google Suites, ZOOM).
Demonstrated reliability and punctuality are essential for maintaining the exam schedule.
A high level of accuracy and the ability to follow complex instructions precisely.
The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and apply critical thinking to evaluate situations objectively.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the exam schedule.
Current CPR and First Aid certification is considered an asset.
Mental Health First Aid and or de-escalation training is considered an asset.
Ability to work fluently (verbal and written) in both official languages, French and English, is an asset.

The official University hours of operation shall be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, during, and including, the months from September to April, and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m Monday through Friday during and including May to August., amounting to thirty-three and three-quarter (33.75) hours per week.
