Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accident Benefits Legal Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide key support to a busy Lawyer by handling administrative duties, conducting legal research, and assisting with the preparation of legal documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a genuine interest in the legal field to grow within a professional setting.
Required Experience
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Accident Benefits field is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit all required OCF forms accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain regular communication with clients and insurance adjusters to support benefit claims
- Draft and manage written correspondence with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel
- Review and process incoming correspondence under the guidance of the Lawyer
- Assist with the preparation of LAT Applications and Case Conference Summaries
- Request and manage medical documentation through Tracument, including Section 33 requests, EUOs, and related materials
- Monitor and track outstanding items, approvals, and denials
Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrated experience in Accident Benefits within a personal injury law firm is essential
- Strong client-focused approach with a commitment to advocacy and professionalism
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Team-oriented with clear communication skills and a willingness to support colleagues
- Open to learning, responsive to feedback, and driven to grow within the role
- Completion of post-secondary education
- Graduate of a Law Clerk or Paralegal program preferred
- Proficiency with legal software and tools, including Clio, Tracument, DocuSign, Primafact and Outlook
This is a hybrid position with 3 days in office and 2 days working remotely.

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
