Daycare Cook
Permanent Full Time (40 hours)
Wage: $17.15/hour (Additional Alberta wage top-up for hours working directly with children, if certified)
The Wainwright MFRC is seeking an adaptable and highly motivated individual to join our team. The individual in this position will plan/prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children in accordance with Canada’s food guide. This individual will also work directly with children when providing coverage for Early Childhood Educators.
Position Requirements:
- Willingness to obtain necessary certifications such as Safe Food Handling, First Aid, and Alberta Child Care Certification (free online course)
- Satisfactory Intervention Record Check and Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid Drivers License and access to a vehicle for weekly grocery shopping
Assets:
- Fluency in both English and French, oral and written
- Experience with the Canadian Armed Forces community
- Knowledge of Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations
- Previous experience in food preparation for children
