Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant to provide excellent customer service and maintain smooth operations at our retail location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, managing transactions, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the station. This role offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in retail sales, cashiering, and customer communication within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling their vehicles efficiently
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and sales transactions
- Manage cashier duties including processing payments, giving change, and issuing receipts
- Conduct product demos and upsell convenience items to enhance customer experience
- Maintain cleanliness of the station, including fuel pumps, store shelves, and surrounding areas
- Restock merchandise and organize displays to ensure attractive presentation
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all operational procedures
- Handle phone inquiries professionally using proper phone etiquette
- Assist in merchandising efforts to promote products effectively
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving a broad customer base
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction management
- Experience with POS systems or retail sales is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude and professional appearance
- Reliable transportation and availability to work flexible hours as needed

Pay: $15.75-$17.00 per hour
