B&A PETROLEUM LTD is seeking a qualified applicant to join our organization as a FT, permanent Petroleum Bulk Plant Facilities Maintenance Manager. The position will be based in Swift Current, SK .
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate/carry out the organization’s maintenance directives to ensure compliance with legislation.
- Perform a full range of maintenance and repair responsibilities including preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, grounds maintenance, inventory management, safety and security.
- Maintain signage, offices, cardlock, outbuildings, fences, equipment, showers, the yard, parking lot, painting, plumbing, lighting, waste, recycling and trash disposal.
- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics - daily, weekly, monthly and annual site inspections at Swift Current facilities and OWS inspections, reporting and sampling.
- Perform general repairs to cardlock that do not require specialized services including repairing or replacing filters, retractors, pumps, hoses, and nozzles as required.
- Perform urgent maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components.
- Ensure grounds safety – snow/ice removal, pothole repair, spread salt or gravel, weed/pest control, etc.
- Develop and/or maintain inventory and records for all assigned duties.
- Participate in purchasing and shipping - order and coordinate delivery of parts and materials.
- Assist with inventory counts, receive product, unload and sort shipments from vendors.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment while performing maintenance duties.
- Monitor work performed by contractors and relay follow up requests.
- Supervise and direct the work of the maintenance assistant.
- Collaborate and work cooperatively with site-specific teams in facilitating general building and property maintenance, asset management, preventative maintenance at other B&A locations.
- Assist with maintenance and repairs of rental equipment.
- Deliver bulk oil and packaged goods to sites within the organization.
- Refill, recertify and decommission propane tanks.
- Use the safeguards, safety appliances and personal protective equipment provided in accordance with regulations and compliance with all site safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in toolbox meetings, drills and meetings, and complete training as directed by owner.
- Provide customer service, and assist with sales and other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in maintenance, repair or facilities management, preferably fuel or retail related.
- Strong mechanical aptitude-knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, instrumentation.
- Technical expertise in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining fuel equipment would be an asset.
- Familiarity with POS systems and ability to troubleshoot/diagnose equipment malfunctions effectively.
- Trained in the operation of power mobile equipment
- Must have a valid Class 3 Driver’s license with air. Occasional travel required.
Physical Requirements:
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders, bend kneel, perform physically demanding tasks, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent written and verbal skills to manage safety critical work and communicate with staff/customers.
