Doug Tarry Limited has been committed to our customers in St Thomas and the surrounding areas since 1954. Our construction company is currently seeking a full-time Rental Properties Coordinator.
Reporting to the Rental Properties Manager, this position will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of Doug Tarry Limited’s rental property portfolio coordinating tenant services, maintenance activities, rent administration, and unit availability. The role will act as the central point of coordination between tenants, the Rental Properties Manager, maintenance teams, cleaning staff and other internal departments to ensure responsible service , well-maintained properties, and a positive tenant experience.
As part of your duties and responsibilities, you will:
- Serve as the primary contact for tenant inquiries, service requests, and general rental coordination
- Receive, document, prioritize and coordinate resolution of tenant concerns and complaints
- Ensure timely communication and follow-up with tenants regarding maintenance and property-related issues
- Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, cleaning or repairs to rental properties working closely with internal teams and trades to ensure timely completion of work orders
- Conduct periodic property inspections and report results
- Coordinate notices, renewals, move-in/move-out documentation
- Support rent collection processes and applications
- Coordinate and conduct showings of available units
- Support a professional and positive tenant experience aligned with Doug Tarry Limited service standards
You will need the following skills:
- University or college program in Business Management, Project Management or related field or relative experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Problem-solving ability to address client requests or property challenges
- Conflict resolution skills to effectively support customers while adhering to company policy and procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Property Management or CRM software
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Experience in property maintenance and operations an asset
Compensation is competitive and based on experience, skills and qualifications. The position offers a range of $26.00 to $30.00 per hour.
