Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide essential assistance and companionship to individuals with disabilities. In this role, you will support clients in their daily activities, promote independence, and foster a positive environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working in a supportive and collaborative team setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Support clients in participating in community outings, recreational activities, and social events
- Administer medications following prescribed instructions and maintain accurate documentation
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each person's needs and goals
- Use effective communication skills to engage with clients, families, and team members
- Utilize American Sign Language or other communication methods as needed to facilitate understanding and interaction
- Monitor clients' health and well-being, reporting any concerns or changes to supervisors
- Promote a safe, respectful, and empowering environment that encourages independence
Skills
- Experience or training in special education or caregiving is highly desirable but not essential, we will train and offer courses to employment successful.
- Working with individuals with disabilities requires patience, empathy, and adaptability
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients of diverse needs and backgrounds
- We offer the online medication administration course on procedures and safety protocols that is required.

- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Pay: From $19.10 per hour
