Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Performer to join our team in delivering engaging science programs for children ages 3 years to 14 years (Preschool to school age). This role is crucial in bringing our educational content to life, fostering a love for science through imaginative performances. The position needs to be able to travel in Edmonton and nearby areas around Edmonton such as Saint Albert, Sherwood Park, Beaumont, Leduc, Stony Plain or more.
A Valid Driver's License is required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver interactive science demonstrations and performances to children
- Engage and entertain audiences while educating them about scientific concepts
- Adapt performances based on audience age and engagement levels
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for children during programs
- Provide feedback on program effectiveness and participant engagement
- Participate in training sessions to enhance performance skills
- Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages children's curiosity and questions.
Qualifications
- Strong public speaking and communication skills
- Experience working with children in an educational or entertaining capacity
- Creative thinking and adaptability during performances
