Manufacturing Team Member
Full-Time | $18–22/hour to start
At Tracey Boards, we build what many consider to be the finest competitive crokinole boards in the world.
As the official board builder for the World Crokinole Championships, our boards are played by the world's best players and shipped to customers across North America and around the globe.
We're looking for someone to join our production team—not just to fill a position, but to become an important part of a small business that takes tremendous pride in what we build.
Skills can be taught. Character can't.
You don't need experience building crokinole boards. We'll teach you everything you need to know.
What we're looking for is someone who:
- Shows up on time, every scheduled day.
- Takes pride in doing quality work.
- Accepts feedback and uses it to improve.
- Pays attention to the little details.
- Can work independently once trained.
- Takes ownership of their work.
Our philosophy is simple:
First get good. Then get fast.
We would rather have someone who cares enough to do the job properly than someone who rushes through it.
Everyone makes mistakes while learning. That's expected.
What matters is that you own your mistakes, learn from them, and keep improving.
What You'll Do
Your day may include:
- Sanding boards and components
- Sorting and grading materials
- Packaging completed products
- General shop cleanup and organization
- Learning specialized manufacturing techniques unique to Tracey Boards
Every board you help build carries our name. That's something we never lose sight of.
What You'll Bring
- Comfortable working on your feet throughout the day
- Able to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs
- Experience using basic hand tools such as drills and sanders
- Strong attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- A willingness to learn
- Pride in producing quality work
Manufacturing experience is an asset, but it isn't required. We'd rather train someone with the right attitude than hire someone with the wrong one.
Why Tracey Boards?
We're a family-run business where people matter.
As you develop your skills and earn our trust, you'll be given the opportunity to work independently. We don't believe in micromanaging people who consistently do quality work.
If you're looking for a place where your effort is noticed, your work matters, and quality is valued over simply rushing products out the door, we'd like to meet you.
How to Apply
Please submit:
- Your resume
- A cover letter
In your cover letter, please answer these two questions:
