Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes
- Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management
- Adhere to proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- A passion for cooking and the food industry is essential
- Experience with serving and customer service is a plus
