Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable Baby and Children Product Adviser to join our retail team. In this role, you will assist customers in selecting the best products for their children by providing expert advice, product demonstrations, and personalized recommendations. Your goal is to create a welcoming shopping experience while driving sales and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for child-related products, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Assist customers in selecting baby and children products that meet their needs, preferences, and safety standards
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits of various items such as strollers, car seats, toys, and apparel
- Engage in upselling by recommending complementary products and accessories to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain organized merchandising displays that highlight featured products and promotions
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, including cash handling and processing payments
- Manage inventory levels on the sales floor, restock shelves, and ensure product availability
- Provide knowledgeable advice on product features, safety guidelines, and usage instructions
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Support store cleanliness and organization to create an inviting shopping environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and improve overall store performance
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, merchandising, or customer service is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly and effectively
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases
- Experience with technology sales, product demos, or technical sales is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for transactions
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a busy setting
- Professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to upsell products tactfully while maintaining a focus on customer needs
- Knowledge of baby and children products is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
