About the Position
We are a growing company and seeking a detailed oriented individual who is passionate about natural products to join us as a full-time Food Production & Warehouse Associate at our Pitt Meadows Warehouse. This is a full-time position (37.5-40 hours/week) with 5 daytime shifts on weekdays. This position will mainly be responsible for processing raw materials and production line work. This role is also expected to handle shipping & receiving responsibilities as well as maintaining inventory records. There are long-term growth opportunities to develop in areas of logistics, quality control, food safety, and management.
Responsibilities
Production (65%)
- Handle and prepare honey barrels for production
- Pump, mix, and process honey and other natural ingredients
- Fill, label, cap, seal, code, and box various natural products
- Record and input daily production logs into manufacturing software
- Maintain a clean and organized production space
- Perform other similar production duties as assigned
Warehousing, Shipping & Receiving (30%)
- Move and organize palletized materials and loose items in the warehouse
- Pick and pack ecommerce shipments
- Pick and pack small and palletized wholesale shipments
- Schedule and coordinate with logistics partners to arrange shipments
- Log and maintain records for incoming and outgoing shipments
- Perform inventory spot checks and full inventory counts
Delivery (5%)
- Pick and load products into company delivery van for local deliveries
- Deliver products to local retail stores and other destinations in the lower mainland (1-2 deliveries every 2 weeks)
- Pick up packages and shipments from local suppliers
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED.
- Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract, experience driving high roof delivery vans preferred
- Physically able to lift and handle up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movements.
- At least 1 year of experience in food production/manufacturing
- At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse
- Experience operating sit-down forklifts and/or valid forklift ticket is highly preferred.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
- High attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in a team and independently
