Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, experience with various makes and models of vehicles A strong commitment to excellent customer service is a must.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive automotive repairs including engine, transmission, brake, and electrical systems
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic schematics to identify issues and execute repairs
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently when required for repairs or diagnostics
- Use welding and fabrication skills to repair or modify components as needed
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities, including heavy lifting and working with electrical systems
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly and working with service writers
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed for each vehicle or piece of equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic; dealership experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, welding, electrical systems, and schematics
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy or industrial equipment such as forklifts
- Experience working with most automotive systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills for customer interactions and documentation purposes
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- 3rd, 4th level apprentice or journeyperson technician level

Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour
