Job Summary
Seeking a compassionate and attentive Overnight Attendant to provide high-quality care and support to a resident with wheelchair using needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving & PSW roles.
The Overnight Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining a safe environment through attentive client care and light housekeeping duties.
The role is funded by the Centre of Independent Living. The rate is $145 per night. Location is in South Etobicoke - proximity preferred.
Duties
- Monitor residents throughout the night to ensure safety and well-being
- Assist with transferring and turning multiple times
- Provide personal care including assistance with mobility, hygiene, and toileting needs
- Respond promptly to residents' calls for assistance or emergencies
- Potential support with nightly meal prep & feeding
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
Experience
- Prior experience in nursing home, assisted living, or home care environments preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or dementia care highly desirable
- Background in caregiving, patient care, or hospice care is beneficial
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and maintaining a safe environment is a plus
- Strong communication skills and compassionate demeanor essential for providing excellent patient care
Pay: $140.00-$145.00 per day
