We are looking for an experienced individual to lead the design, standardization, and documentation of the technology stack used across our client environments, while guiding our sales engineering team and helping our service delivery teams implement consistent, secure, and scalable IT solutions.
Who are you?:
· You have strong architectural and systems design experience across networking, cloud, endpoint, and security technologies.
· You understand MSP environments and can balance standardization with practical client needs.
· You have a strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, and cybersecurity technologies.
· You are comfortable evaluating vendors, selecting products, and defining standards based on security, reliability, supportability, and cost.
· You communicate clearly with clients, staff, and industry partners, and can write concise, professional technical documentation.
· You have a leadership mindset and enjoy mentoring, guiding, and supporting technical staff.
· You are organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
· You have 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or architecture within an MSP environment.
What will you be doing?:
· Designing and maintaining standardized technology stacks across Trinus product and service categories.
· Creating baseline design and configuration standards for networking, endpoints, cloud platforms, and security.
· Coordinating the alignment of client environments to approved Trinus standards where practical.
· Creating detailed technical documentation such as standards, runbooks, diagrams, alignment processes, and implementation guides.
· Providing architectural guidance for complex client environments, including cloud migrations and network design.
· Supporting the sales engineering team to ensure client solutions align with standards and requirements.
· Acting as an escalation point for high-level technical decision making and design validation.
· Managing vendor relationships and programs, and helping select products that fit Trinus standards.
· Continuously improving standards based on industry trends, operational feedback, and performance metrics.
· Ensuring cybersecurity best practices are embedded into all designs and product selections.
· Mentoring engineering staff on standards, best practices, and implementation approaches.
What should you bring?:
· Excellent supervision and management skills, including employee motivation, training, mentorship, and task delegation.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, business-like writing style.
· Strong report writing, analysis, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.
· Strong vendor evaluation and product selection capabilities.
· CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, and Microsoft MCSA are assets.
· A valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Ability to travel occasionally within Western Canada and work occasional weekends or after-hours when required.
· Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs when required.

This is a full-time position located at our head office in Stony Plain and is paid via an annual salary. The working hours for this position are 8AM to 5PM Monday-Friday with the ability to work some weekends or holidays if required.
