Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Indian Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation
- Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, to maintain efficient operations
- Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Manage food inventory, ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels
- Lead food service operations during peak hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Train new team members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus that highlight traditional Indian flavors
- Monitor customer feedback and address any concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably within Indian cuisine or similar food industry environments
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling with a focus on authentic Indian dishes
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage team members effectively
- Experience in restaurant management, including overseeing daily operations and maintaining high standards of service
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Prior experience serving customers in a hospitality setting is advantageous
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance is preferred
