LIVE-IN BUILDING/LEASING MANAGER, Surrey, BC
We are an family-owned company with residential buildings in the Lower Mainland. We are offering an opportunity for someone with previous experience to manage either one or two apartment building.
CONTRACT POSITION SUMMARY
As a Resident Building/Leasing Manager, you are the primary contact and link for our residents. You are essential in developing and maintaining good resident relationships for our buildings. Your skills would include being approachable, proactive, organized and professional, cleaning skills, and a good working knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Act and Regulations.. A valid driver’s license and own vehicle is required.
Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
· Leasing residential units; Interviewing prospective tenants, screening, and reference checks
· Monthly rent collections and deposits, general administrative duties, including tenant paperwork/leases, move in and move out procedures, and suite inspections.
· Building positive relationships with tenants, and promptly responding to their concerns.
· Ensuring and maintaining cleanliness in the common areas of the buildings and property
· Respond to emergency calls quickly and efficiently (during both regular and after-hours).
· Daily rounds of the property to ensure security standards are met for residents.
· Working effectively with other building team members.
· Providing Property Manager with regular updates and advise of preventative maintenance measures.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have the following background:
· Excellent communication skills as well as clear and concise reporting skills – both written and oral and promotion/negotiation skills.
· Effective time management skills, organized, and the attitude to get things done
· General understanding of the BC Residential Tenancy Act and Regulations.
· Being bondable, providing a criminal check and having an excellent credit rating is essential.
This full-time employee position requires a candidate to live in the building and offers a competitive compensation package comprised of a regular monthly wage, and benefits package.
