Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Food Service Attendant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating of meals
- Deliver attentive customer service to residents, patients, or guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health regulations
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures
- Set up dining areas, including table arrangements and serving stations
- Assist with meal delivery and cleanup after service
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages or issues
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination during food service operations
Qualifications
- Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and serving techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy meal periods
- Basic kitchen experience including cleaning and maintaining sanitation standards
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and residents or patients
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
