Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Food Production Specialist to join our team in the food processing industry. The Production Specialist will be responsible for fabricating, packaging, and ensuring the quality of food products while adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for operating equipment and performing activities safely to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Responsible for the safe equipment operation such as forklifts and various grain processing equipment.
- Ensure products are produced according to specification and facilitate timely reporting of production deficiencies.
- Unloading Grain Trucks
- Participate in the implementation of relevant policies/procedures to consistently meet the certification schemes requirements of Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO), Organic systems program, Kosher, Halal, Non-GMO Project Verification, and other relevant certifications which Above Ingredient Inc. holds certifications with.
- Participate in adhering to GMPs, all relevant food safety and quality programs.
- Responsible for production line operation and documenting production activities accurately on relevant records..
- Perform housekeeping and sanitation activities at set intervals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Production Manager.
Skills
- Experience in food processing or related industry is preferred
- Proficiency in following food safety guidelines and protocols
- Strong understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations
- Mechanical aptitude to handle equipment troubleshooting
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean work environment
Working Conditions
Dusty and noisy; ability to work 8 hours shift.
Morning Shift: 7am to 3pm
Evening Shift: 2:30pm to 11:00pm
Hourly wage will increase to $19 once you complete your probationary period.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
