SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
OVERVIEW:

As a member of the Accounting Department, you will be part of a team responsible for providing accurate, timely and relevant information to the management and external stakeholders.
As the company’s Senior Accountant, you will support in the gathering, preparation, recording and maintenance of Inventory data, Job Costing, Management and Processing of Accounts Receivables, Preparation, review and other accounting tasks as assigned.
The Job:
INVENTORY
- Oversee job costing, coordinating with vendors to ensure all costing data is accurate, complete, and received on time
- Manages the recording, tracking, and reconciliation of all inventory balances.
- Processes intercompany transfers and all related inventory transactions with accuracy and timeliness
- Ensures the integrity of the company’s inventory accounting records, maintaining completeness and compliance with internal controls.
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
Management of Accounts receivable process including but not limited to:
- Preparing and issuing sales invoices, including EDI invoicing for Costco and Grocery Outlet (U.S.).
- Preparing and distributing customer statements on a regular schedule
- Managing collections, following up with customers to ensure timely payment of outstanding balances.
- Recording customer payments and ensuring all receipts reconcile accurately with bank records.
OTHER TASKS
- Supports the Controller with month‑end close activities and year‑end audit preparation
- Provides backup support for Accounts Payable and Payroll functions
- Maintains the Joint Venture reconciliation and provides regular reporting to the company President and Controller.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and personal growth.
- Possesses a strong accounting background, BS Accountancy is a must. Post- Secondary studies highly desirable but not mandatory
- Actively participates in continuous process improvement initiatives with the objective of enhancing operational efficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven education, experience, and expertise in inventory accounting and accounts receivable; experience with job costing is considered an asset.
- Prior experience with Microsoft Great Plains is highly desirable.
- Prior experience with ADP Workforce Now is highly desirable.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume transactional environment.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- CPA designation or enrollment in the CPA program is desirable but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
