Sugarfina is looking for a Assistant Boutique Manager to join our Metrotown team! This role is responsible for day-to-day in-store activities. As a company and brand representative they embody the Sugarfina culture and lead by example to inspire their team to provide best in class customer service that engages the community and keeps customers coming back time and time again.
This role is responsible for supporting the Boutique Manager in the management of the overall operations of the store, ensuring our locations are pristinely maintained, visually beautiful and operate seamlessly.
Assistant Boutique Managers oversee all part-time Key Holders, full-time Key Holders, and seasonal employees at their location. As a company and brand representative they embody the Sugarfina culture and lead by example to inspire their team to provide best in class customer service that engages the community and keeps customers coming back time and time again.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT
- Work with the Boutique Manager, Retail Leadership and HR to recruit and hire a diverse team based on skill set, experience and overall ‘fit’ for Sugarfina.
- Engage cross-functionally with various departments including operations, marketing, visual merchandising, customer service and sales to ensure cohesive and up to date information is relayed to your team.
- Deliver on-the-spot coaching to employees and provide valuable feedback to the Boutique Manager to be used during various performance reviews throughout the employee life cycle including 90-day check-ins, annual reviews and performance improvement plans as needed.
- Be willing to roll up your sleeves and go the extra mile with a, no task too big or too small, mindset.
COMMUNICATION
- Demonstrate effective communication via phone, email and verbally to all levels in store and with partners at the Home Office.
DRIVE SALES and REVENUE
- Understand and deliver Key KPIs including ATV, UPT and transaction targets over LY.
- Help the Boutique Manager to manage and train the retail team to achieve their Key KPIs.
- Monitor the landscape and support the creation of strategies for new retail opportunities.
- Think creatively about how to expand existing client relationships and capitalize on opportunities.
- Lead with integrity, adhering to our company values even when no one is looking.
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
- Be active on the floor engaging with our customers daily.
- Become an expert in our product line so that you can provide knowledgeable recommendations.
- Master Sugarfina’s CX Model (the G.O.L.D. Standard) to build lasting relationships with our guests, including important corporate, custom and celebrity clients.
- Maintain Visual Merchandising Standards to create a beautiful in-store experience.
LOSS PREVENTION / INVENTORY CONTROL
- Operate with the highest level of integrity, even when no in else is in the boutique.
- Handle cash register duties, daily deposits and safe access with integrity and attention to detail.
- Manage your time effectively and try to be efficient when completing tasks.
- Receive and break down shipments that arrive throughout your shift, following proper shipment and inventory management procedures.
- Assist with inventory control and replenishment by stocking hero tables and sidekicks during downtime.
- Follow all opening and closing procedures to ensure stores open on time and are secure when you leave.
EDUCATION & SKILLS
The ideal candidate will have:
- High school degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- 1+ year of lead / supervisory experience in a retail location
- 1-2+ years retail experience, preferably with a fashion or luxury brand
- 1-2+ years of customer service experience
- Proficiency in computers, computer programs and technology
- Physical ability to carry out the essential functions of the job, including stocking shelves, ringing sales, standing, or walking the entire shift.
- Schedule flexibility, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Access to reliable transportation
- Background in training / development, customer service and retail operations
- Interest in visual merchandising and attention to creative details
- A second language is a plus.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand or walk the entire shift. Will be occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or otherwise move self in a reasonable way position to perform the essential duty. And must occasionally be able to safely and independently lift, carry or otherwise move or position up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour
