Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, managing POS systems, and ensuring all food safety standards are met. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with Micros POS are highly desirable. The bartender will play a key role in enhancing the guest experience through excellent service, efficient cash handling, and effective time management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately according to recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to ensure a positive experience
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry and cashiering functions
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible alcohol service and adherence to legal drinking age regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when necessary
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies related to food handling and beverage preparation
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to serve diverse clientele effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and inventory management
- Experience in hospitality or food industry roles is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
