Pinnacle Security and Investigations is looking to build our casual roster for summer event coverage throughout the Smiths Falls and surrounding Ottawa Valley area.
This role is ideal for licensed security guards looking for flexible, event-based shifts supporting community events, private functions, festivals, outdoor gatherings, and similar seasonal assignments.
About the Role
Casual Event Security Guards will help provide a safe, professional, and visible security presence at summer events. Duties may include access control, foot patrols, crowd observation, incident reporting, customer service, and supporting event organizers with general safety and site procedures.
Our focus is on calm, professional, community-minded security.
Responsibilities
Guards may be responsible for:
- Monitoring entrances, exits, and event areas
- Conducting foot patrols
- Assisting with crowd flow and general public safety
- Identifying and reporting safety concerns
- Responding calmly to incidents or disturbances
- Completing basic reports when required
- Providing professional customer service to guests, staff, vendors, and organizers
- Representing Pinnacle Security and Investigations in a professional manner
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and outdoor shifts
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Reliable transportation to event sites
- Ability to remain calm and respectful under pressure
Previous event security experience is an asset, but not required.
