Job Description
We are seeking a resilient, high-energy Male FSCD Early Childhood Educator to provide 1-on-1 support
This role requires an educator who balances deep empathy with firm, consistent boundaries to ensure the child's safety, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain constant 1-on-1 sight to manage impulses
- Recognize triggers, use proactive sensory breaks, and implement positive behavioral interventions during moments of physical dysregulation.
- Keep the child engaged in structured, high-interest activities that accommodate a high need for physical movement.
- Guide smooth transitions between routines using clear, non-confrontational communication to avoid power struggles.
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid Alberta ECE Level 1, 2 or 3 certification.
- Strong de-escalation skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Valid Child Care First Aid / CPR.
- Clear, current Vulnerable Sector Check.
Job Details & Schedule
- Job Type: Part/Full-time
- Salary: $19.64 – $27.62 per hour
Schedule (Monday to Friday):
- Current June Schedule (Split-Shift): 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM and 11:45 AM – 4:45 PM
- Summer Break Schedule (Starting July): 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Full days)
