What You Will Be Doing as a Marketing Specialist - Product / Channel:
We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented Product / Channel Marketing Specialist to play a pivotal role in the successful launch and ongoing marketing of our innovative products.
This role will be at the intersection of product development and marketing execution, requiring a strong understanding of both product lifecycles and impactful marketing strategies. § Product Launch Strategy & Execution:
o Collaborate closely with Product Management, Sales, and other cross- functional teams to develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
o Define target audiences, key messaging, and value propositions for new products.
o Develop and execute integrated marketing plans for product launches, encompassing digital marketing, content creation, social media, email marketing, and potentially public relations and events.
o Manage project timelines and budgets for product launch activities, ensuring on-time and within-budget execution.
o Manage relationships with marketing agencies, both Canadian and international, for the development of various marketing materials, including brochures, specification sheets, video assets, and social media content
§ Product Marketing & Positioning:
o Create core marketing collateral and sales enablement materials, including website copy, blog posts, case studies, presentations, and competitive comparisons, to effectively communicate product value.
§ Content, Asset, and Channel Management:
o Maintain and organize the digital asset library of imagery, collateral, and resources, ensuring accurate categorization by brand, product or family of products.
o Manage the distribution of the latest marketing collateral across all internal and external channels to ensure accessibility for sales teams, distributors, and end customers.
o Oversee and manage the translation of all marketing collateral and web pages into French to meet documentation needs for French-speaking customers and ensure compliance with federal requirements (e.g., Bill 96).
o Manage website content and functionality, ensuring copy accuracy, coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve errors, discuss improvements, and maintain execution timelines.
§ Market Intelligence, Performance Monitoring & Analysis:
o Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product positioning and marketing strategies.
o Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product launches and ongoing marketing efforts.
o Track, analyze, and report on marketing campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
o Utilize data to understand customer behavior and identify opportunities for improved product marketing.
§ Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
o Serve as the primary subject matter expert and point of contact for all product-related inquiries from the sales team and distributor network.
o Collaborate with U.S. counterparts to ensure consistent and synergistic deployment of on-brand marketing materials across North America
o Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to identify, explore, and implement new sales channels and demand generation strategies to drive revenue growth
o Create sales tools such as product briefs, FAQs, and competitive comparisons.
o Effectively communicate product updates, launch plans, and marketing results to internal stakeholders.
o Work with external agencies and vendors, both Canadian and international, for the development of various marketing materials, as needed.
o Other assigned duties as deemed necessary.
What You Should Have, as a Marketing Specialist - Product / Channel:
§ Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
§ 5+ years of experience in a marketing role, with a demonstrable focus on product marketing and/or product launches.
§ Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and go-to-market strategies.
§ Proven ability to develop and execute successful marketing campaigns across various channels.
§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling marketing content.
§ Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive marketing decisions.
§ Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
§ Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
§ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points For:
§ Experience with Smartsheet + Adobe Suite
§ Experience in HVAC or plumbing industry
