Overview
Glessing Gaskets Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Field Service Technician to join our team. This is a field-based role where you’ll travel to commercial customer locations across Southern Ontario to install and inspect refrigerator door gaskets, hinges, and other small components.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring doors seal properly by removing old components, installing new ones accurately, and performing on-site inspections to identify worn or failing gaskets and recommend necessary replacements. All tools and training are provided. This role requires a reliable vehicle, as mileage is paid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer sites (restaurants, grocery stores, etc.)
- Inspect refrigerator doors and gaskets to identify wear, damage, and sealing deficiencies
- Remove and replace door gaskets/components on commercial refrigeration units
- Ensure proper fit and seal of gaskets to maintain energy efficiency
- Provide basic recommendations to customers based on inspection findings
- Record completed work and communicate updates to the office
- Represent the company professionally in the field
- Maintain tools and vehicle organization
- Follow safety procedures and quality standards
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (mileage paid)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs and work in various positions - standing, kneeling, crouching, overhead
- Previous experience in refrigeration, field service, assembly, or installation work is an asset
What We Offer:
- $55,000 - $60,000/year + mileage (based on experience)

- Monday to Friday
- Day shift
- No weekends
- Travel required (within Ontario, mainly southern Ontario, GTA, and surrounding area)
