We're looking for a talented sous-chef to join our catering team.
Duties include:
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Food preparation
- Food safety/handling skills
- Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
Must be able to work well in a team as well as complete tasks independently.
Must be very detail oriented.
Must have good time management skills.
Must work well in a fast-paced environment and be able to solve problems on the spot.
Schedule varies depending on the event bookings, so it's a combination of mornings, days, evenings and weekends. Guaranteed 24 hours, but may be more on busy weeks. Pay negotiable depending on experience.
Catering/Banquet Experience Required - experience managing plating during banquet meal service would be an asset
Formal Training Required
Full G Driver's Licence with Clean Driving Record Required
