As part of SDC Logistics, we operate a fast-paced, bilingual environment serving a growing client base across the Lower Mainland. We are currently hiring to support our expanding operations.
Role Summary
This is a combined Warehouse Operator and Driver role. You will be responsible for local cargo van deliveries across the Lower Mainland as well as day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, organizing, and dispatching shipments. The role requires physical stamina, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a cargo van to deliver goods to designated locations within the Lower Mainland, following optimal routes to ensure on-time delivery.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections including tires, oil levels, lights, and overall cleanliness.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring goods are properly secured and arranged to prevent damage in transit.
- Receive, sort, and organize inbound and outbound shipments in the warehouse according to established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and inventory movements.
- Communicate delivery status and exceptions to dispatch in a timely manner.
- Comply with all BC traffic regulations, company safety policies, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record (no serious violations in the past 3 years).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks throughout the full shift.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks independently.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual in Vietnamese and English is required for this role due to the nature of our client base and internal communications.
Assets (Not Required)
- Prior experience in logistics, warehousing, or delivery operations.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation or freight handling procedures.
- Experience using warehouse management systems or delivery tracking software.
