Job Summary
We are currently recruiting skilled Concrete Forming and Finishers to join our team. In this position you would execute forming or finishing of concrete flatwork, curbing, walls or foundations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping, finishing, and installing concrete structures on various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete forming techniques, finishing processes, and the use of hand and power tools. It also requires physical labour and heavy lifting.
Responsiblities
- Review daily tasks with site supervisor
- Construct and assemble formwork for concrete pouring using carpentry skills and schematics.
- Install rebar and reinforcement materials according to blueprints and safety standards.
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and applying finishing techniques such as troweling and caulking.
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately follow project specifications.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling tools, materials, and debris.
- Communicate and work well with team members to ensure timely project completion
- Ensure daily duties are completed in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete forming, finishing, and related construction activities. (3-5 years)
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and schematics used in concrete work.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction safety standards.
- Experience in setting of string line or operation of curb machine an asset
- Prior experience with hand tools, power tools, caulking techniques, heavy lifting, and community recreation projects is highly desirable.

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
