DUTIES
The Manager of Aerial Fire Suppression plays a vital role in the strategic coordination and operational oversight of our dedicated aerial firefighting resources during the wildfire season. This crucial position ensures the effective deployment, performance, and safety of contracted aircraft and seasonal personnel, all while aligning with wildfire suppression goals and aviation regulations. Key responsibilities involve overseeing air tanker group operations, managing base changes, and meticulously auditing flight documentation for accuracy and compliance. Moreover, the manager collaborates closely with governmental counterparts at both Territorial and Provincial levels to facilitate coordinated response efforts, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote effective resource sharing.

QUALIFICATIONS - (Must Have)
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365
· Willing to travel
· Valid Driver’s Licence and Passport
· Must be able to work under pressure, pay attention to detail, and handle large workloads on tight deadlines.
· Must be a team player with excellent oral and written communication skills, and exceptional organizational skills
· Must be a Canadian Citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or have a valid work permit.
QUALIFICATIONS – (Nice to Have)
· Bilingual - A working knowledge of French and the Mother tongue of English
· Basic understanding and some Fire Science Training
· Some Post-Secondary Education
· Safety Training
· Restricted Radio License
· Managerial Experience

SCHEDULE AND RENUMERATION
We are excited to announce a full-time opportunity within the Buffalo Airways Aerial Fire Suppression Division! The successful candidate will enjoy a rewarding schedule:
From October to April, for non-seasonal operations, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a competitive pay range of $40 to $55 per hour, based on experience.
During the vibrant May to September months, you'll engage in three weeks of active duty followed by a rejuvenating week off, earning $500 daily.
