Warehouse Associate - J.R. Rahey's
Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations and assist delivery drivers as needed. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, preparing, loading, and unloading furniture and appliances, as well as helping ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable with physical work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inventory Handling
- Receive incoming shipments and verify products against paperwork
- Inspect products for damage and report issues promptly
- Organize inventory in designated warehouse locations
- Assist with inventory counts and tracking
Order Preparation & Loading
- Pick and prepare orders for deliveries and customer pickups
- Load and unload furniture and appliances safely and efficiently
- Secure products for transport to prevent damage
- Stage deliveries in an organized manner
Warehouse Organization & Maintenance
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe at all times
- Maintain clear aisles and proper storage practices
- Dispose of packaging materials and keep work areas tidy
- Assist with general warehouse upkeep as required
Delivery & Store Support
- Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading trucks
- Help bring products to the showroom when needed
- Support sales and office staff by locating products quickly
- Communicate inventory status or issues to management
Skills/Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical work in a warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Dependable
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.75-$18.50 per hour
